DESCRIPTION

This mallet is an ideal general use mallet for concert applications where you are playing on the upper half of the marimba register and need an articulate sound to cut through the ensemble. Uses a standard 5/16” birch shaft for a light and nimble feel. SPYR is a collaboration with world-renowned percussionists, designers and educators Kevin Shah and Tony Nunez. Designed with the educator in mind, the SPYR series features a full suite of mallets that cover the complete spectrum of sounds required on keyboard instruments for the variety of ensembles and performances that educators lead.
